‘Boy Is Girl’s Track Star’

[Hoffman] is larger than any of the girls, and shamelessly takes 1st place on the podium. Now my daughter is competing against a male for scholarships. And we can’t even say anything. You can’t even approach it in a nice way without being labeled a hateful bigot. You will get threats against you.

Washington’s Seattle Academy High School girls’ cross-country team qualified for the state championship thanks to ‘trans’ {male} student .

“Last year, Hoffman was a mediocre cross-country runner on Seattle Academy’s boys’ team. During freshman year, Aspen Hoffman competed as a boy and finished 72nd in the League finals. Now, as a sophomore competing as a girl, Hoffman broke Seattle Academy’s school record in the girls’ 5000-meter category and ranks 1st in League. Hoffman’s time in the 5000-meter would rank him 48th if he had competed in the boys’ division. Earlier this semester, Hoffman took 2nd at Districts, qualifying Seattle Academy for the State championship.

“Seattle Academy competes in the Emerald Sound Conference which is comprised of 14 schools. ‘Libs of TikTok’ spoke with a coach in the conference who told us,

allowing [Hoffman] to compete against biological girls deprives other girls’ teams of the chance to compete at State (which is a big deal). If [Hoffman] competed in the boys’ division, [Hoffman] would place 56th on the boys’ team”.

“It’s not just the coach that was upset over Hoffman’s wins. Libs of TikTok spoke to several parents of young female athletes in the conference who are understandably upset.

[Hoffman] is larger than any of the girls, and shamelessly takes 1st place on the podium. Now my daughter is competing against a male for scholarships. And we can’t even say anything. You can’t even approach it in a nice way without being labeled a hateful bigot. You will get threats against you”,

said one father.

“Parents are terrified to even raise concerns about Hoffman’s presence on the girls’ team. Another parent noted,

parents are upset but they know it has to go to the state committee, which isn’t politics, it’s the state high school board, and unless there’s any kind of pressure put on them to change the rule, nothing’s going to happen”.

“In 2007, the Washington Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) adopted the International Olympic Committee’s position, which stated that ‘trans’ individuals could participate in sports in their ‘reassigned gender’, provided they had undergone surgery and a minimum of two years of hormone treatments. Then in 2018, WIAA updated its policy, lifting the surgical component, “an MTF [Male to Female] student must have one calendar year of medically documented testosterone suppression therapy to be eligible to participate on a female team, consistent with WIAA policy”. However, in 2021 they disregarded all scientific reasoning and eliminated all requirements related to medical evaluation and hormone therapy.

All students should have the opportunity to participate in WIAA athletics and/or activities in a manner that is consistent with their ‘gender identity’… Athletes will participate in programs consistent with their ‘gender identity’ or the ‘gender most consistently expressed’. School personnel responsible for student eligibility will work collaboratively with the student-athlete to determine eligibility.”

“Even more troubling to students and parents, WIAA eliminated aggrieved students and competing schools’ right to even question the participation of a ‘trans’ student in female sports.

“The rationale behind the changes was outlined in the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association’s 2021 “Gender Diversity Toolkit” where they inaccurately argue ‘trans’ athletes on teams have “not been shown to diminish opportunities for others” and that there are “no competitive advantages”.

{They’re not this stupid. They are deliberately lying…}

“Parents and coaches in the Emerald South Conference disagree. One of the coaches we spoke with said,

Girls in cross country frequently peak their freshman or sophomore year. They grow “unhelpful” (for running longer and faster) body parts as they mature. It is the very rare (and not at all curvy) girl that keeps getting better all the way through high school. This is why high school teams tend to be younger-girl dominated. The opposite is true of boys. They keep getting bigger and stronger — not growing any unhelpful (breasts and hips) body parts”.

“Not only do biological males have the advantages of greater lung capacity, bone density, and muscle mass,

our daughters are also going through puberty and developing breasts and hips and having a period every month. [Hoffman] doesn’t have any of that and it is also an advantage — apart from his body being different”,

noted one parent.

Males that compete in female sports are taking away opportunities specifically meant for girls.

What about [Hoffman’s] teammate that was bumped off the varsity? These girls are losing their opportunity to not just get to state but maybe earn a scholarship. Schools can only run seven people on varsity. This means when [Hoffman] joined the girl’s team, a biological girl got pulled back.

“The parents and coaches we spoke with continued to emphasize their concern,

This is just about fairness in female sports. It would be just as insane if we made a girl who’s transitioning to be a boy compete against the girls”,

said a league coach.

“The Left has taken any reasonable discussion of biological males competing in female sports, including those based on safety and science, off the table. Instead, they resort to silencing anyone with an opposing view by labeling them ‘transphobes’ and ‘hateful bigots’. Their tactics sadly only serve to diminish biological girls’ accomplishments and deprive them of an even playing field with equal access to athletic opportunities.”

“Connecticut women high school athletes have been waiting for justice for years, ever since their sporting events and rankings were upended by biological males who entered women’s competitions, and then dominated. A federal court ruled that these women will not see justice served.

“Selina Soule, Chelsea Mitchell, Alana Smith, and Ashley Nicoletti all competed against biological males in high school athletics in the state of Connecticut, and each one, despite their dominance in the sport when it was restricted to females only, lost to biological males Andraya Yearwood and Terry Miller.

“In the case before the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals, ‘Soule v. Connecticut Association of Schools’, the court stated they were “unpersuaded” by the arguments that it is unfair for biological males to compete in women’s sports. The case specifically asked for the women to be given the titles they would have earned had the biological males not competed, and the ‘trans’-identified athletes be stripped of those titles.

“The 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the lower court ruling, which essentially said that since plaintiffs and defendants had all graduated from school, the point of the case was moot. However, it wasn’t so moot that the ‘trans’ athletes didn’t fight to keep the titles they earned by competing against women.

Like the district court, we are unpersuaded, with respect to the claim for an injunction to alter records, that Plaintiffs have established the injury in fact and redressability requirements for standing; both fail for reasons of speculation“,

the 2nd Circuit judges wrote, according to Fox News.

And because we conclude that the CIAC and its member schools did not have adequate notice that the Policy violates Title IX – indeed, they had notice to the contrary – Plaintiff’s claims for damages must be dismissed“,

the court continued.

“The court cited the Supreme Court ruling in Bostock from 2020, saying

Thus, it cannot be said that the Policy – which prohibits discrimination based on a student’s ‘transgender’ status by allowing all students to participate on gender specific teams consistent with their gender identity – ‘falls within the scope of Title IX’s proscriptions.'”

“The issue is that the concept of gender identity, which is a chosen descriptor, has been entirely conflated with biological sex, something over which no person living has control or the ability to change.

“Attorneys from ‘Alliance Defending Freedom’, who represented the women, rightfully noted in a statement to The Post Millennial that the Biden administration entirely misunderstands and misapplies Bostock in their rush to “affirm” all genders but that of biological women.

The Biden administration specifically takes the Bostock decision and misapplies it“,

Kiefer told The Post Millennial.

The Supreme Court was really clear in ‘Bostock’ that its decision was a limited holding. It arose in the context of federal employment discrimination law. And the Court specifically said that they were leaving other questions and other contexts, including bathrooms, athletics, and the like for another day.”

For the Biden administration to try to stretch a Supreme Court decision in this way and attempt to argue that it has some sort of gender ideology mandate is simply false“,

she said.

“And that is exactly what the 2nd Circuit has done. Under the Trump administration, the Department of Education said that it was not acceptable for males to compete in women’s athletics.

They upheld the right of women to compete on a fair playing field, but the Biden administration has leaned heavily into weakening the rights of women for biological males who identify as women.

Biden’s education secretary Miguel Cardona was the one who implemented the rules allowing boys to steal women’s titles in the state of Connecticut, during his time heading education for that state.

“Lia Thomas did it, so why can’t Iszac Henig? Lia is the University of Pennsylvania swimmer who performed indifferently on the men’s team and then proclaimed that he was a woman. Competing on the women’s team, lo and behold, suddenly he became a championship swimmer, breaking records left and right and winning an NCAA swimming championship.

“It was the strength he got from being ‘transgender’ and enduring bigotry and hate, right? So we should expect that Iszac Henig, who used to be a female swimmer and now says she is a male, would perform at the same stellar level, right? Well, it didn’t quite turn out that way. It turns out that in the cases of both Thomas and Henig, biological reality can’t simply be wished away.

“Henig, according to ‘OutKick’, “finished the 2021-22 NCAA season as a women’s all-American while transitioning from female to male”. However, she “is now swimming on the guy’s team and is struggling mightily to not finish in last place at meets”.

“Why, this is dumbfounding! What could possibly account for Henig’s precipitous decline from the top of the ranks of female swimmers to a mediocre (at best) allegedly male swimmer? It must be deeply ingrained “transphobia” among the judges at swim meets, right?

“Of course, it isn’t anything of the kind. The simple and obvious reason why Thomas did better competing against women and Henig did worse competing against men is that males naturally have greater upper body strength and can thus generally swim faster and farther than their female counterparts. Those who are enraged by this should take it up with God; there isn’t an authority on earth, much less a surgeon, who can redress this inequity. Thomas became a champion because he is a man competing with women. Henig became a poor swimmer because she is a woman competing against men.

“It is absurd that anyone would refuse to acknowledge these realities, and just as absurd that in our ridiculous age, they have to be restated and restated again. But Henig was given lavish space in the New York Times Thursday to make her case in an article entitled “I Chose to Compete as My True, Trans Self. I Win Less, but I Live More”. The article is nearly two thousand words of the current delusions and self-deceptions, as is evident from the title itself. If Henig were competing as her true self, she would have remained on the women’s team. She wins less because of the inescapable physical realities, that is, her true self, which she is determinedly ignoring.

“In her Times article, Henig recounts:

I placed fourth in the 50 free at the Ivy League Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships my first season, and I was the highest point scorer on the women’s team in my sophomore year.” And “I ended up having the best swim season of my life that year on the women’s team and went mostly undefeated. I won my first individual Ivy League title in the 50 free and, at my first N.C.A.A. championship meet, placed fifth in the 100 free, earning All-America honors.”

“Now she is performing at about the same level, but with vastly different results:

Now I’m a senior, swimming with the men. I’ve been taking hormones for almost eight months; my times are about the same as they were at the end of last season. Right before Thanksgiving we finished a meet against Ohio State, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech and others. I wasn’t the slowest guy in any of my events, but I’m not as successful in the sport as I was on the women’s team”.

Not quite: OutKick notes that she finished “79th out of 83 swimmers”. And why? Because Iszac Henig is a woman. No matter how many hormones she takes or ghastly surgeries she undergoes, she will always be a woman. And even if technology one day advances to the point where someone like her can be given male upper body strength, people like her will still always be women.

The ‘transgender’ madness, like so much of the Left’s program, is a war against reality. No one is doing Lia Thomas or Iszac Henig any favors by playing along with their delusions. Neither are heroes; Thomas is disadvantaging genuine female swimmers, and Henig is disadvantaging herself. Henig may prefer to be a third-rate male swimmer instead of a top-flight female one, but she is doing genuine males a disservice no less unmistakably than Thomas is doing genuine females a disservice. Gender identity is not really as changeable as a suit of clothes. At a certain point, people will look back upon all this madness with the horror we reserve for the likes of the Salem Witch Trials. But we aren’t there yet. Not even close.”
